Melvin is a retired Army military police officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise sciences and is certified through The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a personal trainer for over 25 years. Through the years he has obtained specialized certifications in areas such as:
He uses evidence-based practices to correctly assess and design an individualize program as unique as the athlete he works with. He ensures athletes increase their range of motion, corrects muscle imbalances to help prevent injuries while they gain strength.
He has experience working with those coming back from injury to ensure they are strong and ready to return to play. Melvin works with each athlete to set realistic and obtainable goals to play at their best and build confidence along the way.
Alison is a Licensed Mental Heath Counselor and Certified Mental Performance Coach. She has a master in Mental Health Counseling and a a masters in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention (strength and conditioning). She has worked with athletes ranging from 13 year old club players to 24 year old D1 Athletes. She works with both teams and individual athletes.
When working with teams, she collaborates with coaches to assess needs and work together on how to deliver the skills and how to incorporate them in practices.
Individually, she will listen to the athlete and assess needs. Once needs are identified, the athlete and her will set goals and together will plan out how to achieve them.
